The Medela DoubleEase and the Medela Double Select were essentailly the same breast pump. In addition to the actual breastpump, the DoubleEase Breast Pump included a manual conversion piston and a carry bag. The Medela DoubleEase and Medela Double Select have now been discontinued by Medela and are no longer available for sale.
Many of the replacement parts for the DoubleEase and DoubleSelect are still available but, since the pump is now obsolete Medela is no longer manufacturing any new parts specific to this pump. Parts that we are sold out (and are no longer available from Medela) are the tubing, AC adapter, motor unit and carry bag.
The Medela Double Select (or DoubleEase) Breast Pump is a very good double pump for those occasional times when you are separated from your baby. The Double Select is fully automatic and has an autocycling action which simulates the baby's natural nursing pattern. Mom can choose to pump one breast, or save time by pumping both breasts at the same time. The vacuum can be adjusted while pumping, to allow maximum comfort for mom.
Medela has not introduced another double pump at the same price point as the Double Select. However, the Medela Swing Breast Pump is currently available. Although it is only a single side pump, it does use the improved pumping technology that is also used on the Pump In Style Advanced Breastpumps and Medela Freestyle Breastpump.

In order to use an electrical outlet to power your pump you will need a Medela ac adapter/transformer. If your breast pump suddenly stops working, it may be that you need to replace your transformer. Unfortunately this AC adapter is no longer in production by Medela.Ac transformers for travel to United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia are also no longer available.

All Medela breast pumps come with at least one collection bottle. All Medela bottles have a universal thread and are completely interchangeable, as are the solid lids. Whether you are using the new wide base nipple with the wide base collar or the older style nipple with old style collar they will fit on any Medela bottle.
